Then the doctor asks me if I have my phone with me, I say yes, then he asks me if I have my family, friends or relatives in this city, I say I have my best friend in my city. He tells me to call my best friend and inform him about my accident.

I know that my best friend won’t pick my call or respond to my WhatsApp message. But still I open my phone and I see 86 missed calls from my best friend, I am shocked that my best friend called me 86 times despite giving me silent treatment.

I call my best friend and he picks his phone instantly and our phone conversation goes as follows:

Me: Hello Amar

Amar(my best friend ofc name changed): Kidhar hai bey? Maine tumhe kitne baar call kiya tha tum ne phone uthaya kyu nahi?(Where the hell are you? I called you so many times still why did’nt you pick my call?)

Me: Main hospital main hoon. Kal bar se wapas ghar laut te waqt mera accident hua, luckily jyada kuch nahi laga mujhe. Maine socha tumhe inform kar lu.(I am in a hospital, while returning home I got hit by a car, luckily I am not injured much. I thought I will inform you.)

Amar: Tu konse hospital mein hai?(Which hospital are you admitted in?)

Me: Main Apollo Hospital main hoon.( I am in Apollo Hospital)

Amar: Ruk bhai main abhi nikalta hoon ghar se aur jald he hospital pahuch ta hoon.(Wait bro, I will leave for hospital soon and reach there soon)

Me: No need to come to the hospital I will get discharged by today evening.

Amar: No I am coming to the hospital.

And then he hangs the phone.

My friend reaches the hospital in 15–20 minutes. He asks the doctor about me, how am I feeling?, when will I get discharged? The doctor tells him that I am fine now but I need some rest and I will be discharged today.

My best friend asks the doctor if he can talk with me alone for some time. My doctor allows him but also tells him that I need some rest also.

Our conversation goes as follows:

Me: It was my own decision to get drunk. Getting injured was fate’s plan.

Amar: Why did you decide to get so drunk?

Me: Because I was frustrated.
