The Hound

Since our Indian society is well known for its morals, how many families actually take time in teaching them? Also, since Mother is the most important member of a family, how much does she do in teaching her son some chivalry instead of filling his cheeks with ladoos. These same over pampered ladoo filled cheeks, later in life, get such weak nerves that even a short “side please” can make them shout mother-fucker(fellow Indians please read Madarchod).

Of course, root of all evils is always a female according to them-I agree; when she should’ve slapped his cheeks (both facial and rear), she preferred to kiss them instead. Anywho, most of these piglets (I like to call them that) turn out to be super shy in front of girls and their life is a constant battle between  following some chick they think is decent which in most cases is described as love of their life (even though only things they know about her,are trivial addressbook-like details) and/or just sitting on the side and passing a few comments on any lady who passes by while his friends give him high-fives and back-pats! Others turn into megalomaniacs. Their whole childhood they are made to believe they are special/in some cases they assume, who later in life turn out to be Hounds!

A typical hound in his childhood got most of the things he asked for; his mother even served him water whenever this poor person was thirsty. He never served food to himself or maybe he did in later life to his date believing it was an act of chivalry. He tried acing at a lot of things, but at the end of the day became a typical example of Jack of all trades but masters of none! Typical because poor Jack of all trades forced himself to do these things to be accepted or in some other perspectives look cool! After a few observations he realized everybody respects and adores a gentleman, why not be a gentleman! That day the guy tried cultivating some new traits, he started appreciating art, photography, literature, jazz, etc. Along with this, he came across the concept of chivalry under which he took care of- the being courteous with women part, but his nobleness almost forgot about respecting them!

Well they might claim they respect women, but their definition is most definitely derived from tinkering the conventional one. No, respecting women does not only mean you treat them as equal on certain occasions, it also means you be polite to them under any circumstance (that is if you’re a gentleman; if you’re not, you know blame a female-your mother may be or your girlfriend  for whom on most instances you claim “tries to change” you).Well if they consider act of opening the door for her and requesting with a smile “after you, please” is politeness then , where does this go on social networking sites!

These social networking websites serve to such hounds as hunting grounds where ignorance of some serves to him as an opportunity to portray his noesis. Even in absence of such ignorance driven situations they keep their alertness to look for some prey, for which they spare no contumely. As soon as they notice some lady put up a bad pic or a not so smart comment, he starts to drool and wouldn’t be satisfied without uploading at least one vile comment! These days they wouldn’t even think twice before abusing her (i.e., calling her a bitch or a nincompoop) on social networking sites where she feels insulted in front of all her friends, family and acquaintances. Where does the code of conduct go then?

However, one good thing about this hound is, he is not a sexist! He can be equally vile to his fellow chauvinists too! With comments like “yawn” and “bitch please” what are they even trying to show?!  You don’t like something, don’t comment! (that is unless you’re being forced to read their updates)

These hounds get their daily passage of vileness from a major drawback of Social networking sites.

You must’ve experienced that- Whenever we meet someone and communicate with them in person, we get a certain vibe from him or her. These vibes if good we talk politely with them and if bad we might just decide to keep our conversations short. Now, since a lot of discrepancy of emotions during online chat and social networking, (which in our case be when someone puts up a wrong smiley or forgets to put one and we end up misunderstanding them) you stop getting those vibes you previously depended upon to carry on conversations. You end up treating everyone as equal except for cases where you have certain strong emotions for someone. The hound hence uses this in his favour and feels free to comment anywhere he can, because unlike a face-to-face conversation he’s not going to feel guilty any more nor would he have to gather any courage to say that! (well of course my status update was put up for his “yawn” comment!)

So, my fellow socialites if there is a hound inside you, (however big or small) better contain it for the good of others! In case you’re a hound-bitten victim, gather some courage and poison his rabid tongue or err
 Fingers!
